SEO for Saudi service businesses: a priority list before writing more articles

More articles are not always the next SEO priority for a Saudi service business. If the main service page is hard to discover, vague about the offer or awkward to contact from a phone, extra informational traffic can leave the commercial problem unchanged.

Discuss your growth priority

Separate technical access from actual indexing

Check that priority pages return a successful response, are not unintentionally blocked and point to the intended canonical URL. Confirm that the sitemap lists the versions you actually want discovered.

Then use Search Console URL inspection to check what Google knows about each priority URL. A live page, sitemap entry or successful browser test does not prove that Google indexed it or selected the same canonical. Record unknown status as unknown rather than declaring an indexing failure.

Improve the page closest to the buying decision

Map each main service to the customer's decision. The page should explain the problem addressed, scope, suitable buyer, evidence and next step. Use a descriptive title and clear main heading that match what the page actually offers.

Review the search queries associated with that page and compare them with the service delivered. Improve an existing relevant page before creating another page for a slight keyword variation. Several pages receiving impressions for one phrase is a reason to investigate intent, not automatic proof of harmful duplication.

Close useful Arabic gaps

Prioritize Arabic pages for services whose prospective customers need Arabic information or follow-up. Translate the buying journey, not just the headline: include scope, proof, questions and contact expectations.

Give each language edition its own canonical URL and appropriate links to its real equivalent. Keep a visible language switch useful to a reader. Do not advertise a missing translation or use an Arabic wrapper around an untranslated article.

Use supporting articles to answer a distinct buyer question and link naturally to the relevant service. The service page can link back to a guide when it helps the customer understand the decision. Descriptive anchors explain what will be found at the destination.

Review the path from a hub to the article and from the article to an enquiry. A URL existing in the sitemap alone is a weak experience for someone browsing the site. Remove broken links and avoid stuffing a long list of unrelated cities into every footer.

  • Choose one question that the service page cannot answer in depth.
  • Identify the guide's source and the service it supports.
  • Check both language editions and their contact links before publishing.

Judge progress with visibility and enquiry quality

Track relevant non-brand clicks and impressions by page, country and complete period. Search Console average position is a diagnostic aggregate, not a universal ranking for every searcher. Analytics sessions and search clicks also have different definitions.

Review valid enquiries and qualified opportunities alongside those visibility measures. Keep contact clicks separate. The first month should produce an accurate baseline, a verified journey and a short list of completed fixes; it should not promise a guaranteed ranking or a fixed number of customers.

Frequently asked questions

How many articles should a Saudi business publish each month?

There is no useful universal quota. Choose a sustainable cadence based on distinct customer questions, evidence and the capacity to maintain the content.

Does a sitemap guarantee indexing?

No. It helps discovery, but Google indexing and canonical selection need separate verification.
